MAPLE ROAD THE BRAND

I grew up in Richmond,
B.C. Canada skating on a very special Road in the 1970’s as skateboarding became
popular with the introduction of the urethane wheels.

I say special road,
“Maple Road” as we did not know it at the time. How awesome the scene would be
and evolve over the late 70’s and early 80’s.

The kids on that road went
onto build one of the largest and best and half pipes in Canada, in the Harris
family’s backyard. The seed to be successful had been sowed for their youngest
son Kevin. He became Canada’s 1st professional Skateboarder, was on
the Bones Brigade, Started Canadas 1st skateboard Magazine and owns
the largest skateboard wholesale company in Canada.
